Improving Your Health Using Natural Aromatherapy Massage

One of the best ways to relax in the evening or morning after a hard day's work is to have aromatherapy done. This is a simple holistic way to relax and sooth the body. Aromatherapy is when someone takes oils and uses them in conjunction with a massage to create a perfect balance of relaxation. The essential oils used in this manner will soak into the skin, which, by the fragrance, can also have an effect on the mind and emotions.

A really nice introduction to aromatherapy is to get a massage with essential oils. Some people may prefer to try it on themselves at first, while others prefer to have their partner there so they can share this relaxing experience. When you are just beginning, it is very important to learn which ailments can be relieved by each essential oil. It is important to mix the essential oil with a base oil. This can be done by measuring out half an ounce of base oil and combining it with approximately five drops of the essential oil of your choice.

Aromatherapy, when done by massage, can be done in different methods. One which will be particularly helpful for mental and emotional well being is massaging the oils directly into the points used in acupressure, and only takes a little time reading up to learn how to do.

Oils work in a duel layer method. They can enter the body threw breathing, which carries the memories that a person associates with a given plant or smell. The second method that carries the properties of the oil is by it being pushed down into the skin, the oils are pushed closer to the capillaries and took through the blood.

The general Massage lasts for an hour and a half approximately. Ensure that you book enough private time. However, this can also be changed based on individual needs. One of the main basics you will want when dealing with an Aromatherapy Masseuse is four to six years experience as the preference. This is to make sure that you will receive optimal performance and enjoyment. You can prepare beforehand by having a relaxing soak in a scented bath to get you in the right mood.

Very few people have the luxury of experiencing a home massage. More people, are therefore, opting to visit professional spas. Most spas will offer a selection of treatments and there is always the option of bringing your favorite oil blends.

Whether you opt for self adminstered or professional massage, getting the maximum benefit is the ultimate aim. A comfortable and private setting is paramount in order to achieve both the emotional and physical aspects.

Finally, you need to make sure you use the right essential oils that address your body's needs. If you have a headache, try rosemary and lavender oils rubbed into the back of your neck. For stiff joints and sore muscles, try mixing sage, basil and a base oil like jojoba or sweet almond oil in a four to one ratio. Add a little eucalyptus and your muscles and joints will be very happy.
