How do Aromatherapy Essential Oils Work?

Aromatherapy is a therapeutic practice which uses the healing properties of essential oils. These oils are made from plants, flowers, trees and other substances and offer benefits without harsh side effects.

How are Aromatherapy Essential Oils Used?

Aromatherapy is most often the practice of inhaling aromatherapy essential oils to gain benefits. They have also often been said to help to prevent infection, and to help fight bacterial and viruses in your body.

Aromatherapy essential oils are very complex, and offer a wide variety of benefits. These benefits vary based on how strongly concentrated the oils are, and in which application they are used.

Popular Aromatherapy Essential Oils

There are many different popular aromatherapy essential oils. They include: ylang yland, cedarwood, chamomile, bergamot, lavender, geranium and rosemary. These are also oils that give off pleasing scents when diffused.

A great way to start using your new aromatherapy essential oils is in a bath. You simply add the oil to your bath water. Always make sure to do a skin patch test first. Place some diluted oil on your skin to see if there is an allergic reaction

Using aromatherapy essential oils in your bath is a fun and easy way to use them. All you need to do is put three to eight drops of the oil into your bath as you're filling the tub, and spend at least ten minutes soaking in the water.
